Hey guys, hope you're fine, and today, I have to apologize. Why, will you ask. Well it's very simple, it's because despite what I said in my last post, I just couldn't resist at doing a post about today's manga, and...well, it's again a dark one, even if it is different, so...lets go with one of the best and most famous of his kind at least for me;
Another!
Another is a manga seinen made by Hiro Kyohara, and it is an adaptation from a mystery horror novel by Yukito Ayatsuji. As I said, even though it's a dark manga as for Revenge Classroom, it's way more unrealistic, meaning that in this one, the story is about a malediction, but I'll tell you all about this later. This manga is now ended, with only four powefull and wonderfull books, and a bonus one, the episode 0, that was realeased in 2012.
This manga had an adaptation in 2012, and even if I didn't want to tell you about anime and manga in the same post, this time I had to, even just a little bit, because the anime hit me while looking at the graphics, because even if the story is almost perfectly respected, it's all spoiled by the graphics. I mean, just look:
Now, the same in the manga:
If you can't spot the best, this is going to be usefull: Surprise!
I promise.
Now, if you exept the graphics, the atmosphere is very catchy, and you will not be able to stop before you've ended it, or at least I wasn't.
As I said, I will not talk about the anime any longer, let's get to the story.
In 1972, a girl named misaki, student in the class 3-3 of Yomiyama North Middle school, is beloved by everybody. Most popular student of the all school, she is adulated by both students and teachers. Unfortunately, at the middle of the year, Misaki dies. The rest of the students are devasted by this unexpected loss, until one of them suddenly shows Misaki's desk, and says ''Misaki is not dead! She is right there!''. Unable to carry on without this lye, the all class, and the teachers, act as if their beloved classmate was still alive. The point is that, at the end of the year, on the graduation photo, Misaki is there, with all the students.
In 1998, a young boy named Kouichi Sakakibara, come back from Tokyo to his birth place Yomiyama. After his arrival, he is hospitalized because of a lung problem, and during his stay, he briefly meets a girl, whose name is Misaki Mei, but Kouichi will learn that later. During his first days in school, he quickly figures out that everybody is acting as if Misaki Mei did not exist. He first tries to learn why, but he soon discovers that, at the moment he noticed her, the malediction of the class 3-3 awakened, and his classmates started dying.
Does it sound awesome to you guys? Well you are right!
Okay, so, now, why is this manga so awesome? I mean, horror story whith a bit of unnatural stuff, there is a lot of it, and they are not always great. But with this one, something I love is that you are lost. It is not an horror manga as all the others, with a main enemy easy to find, and blood everywhere. Of course, it is a creepy manga with quite a good deal of gore, but it is written with a great part of mystery, you never know who is really the one to be effrayed of, every single character can be a source of danger, and also, of course, a potential victim, even those which you think are going to be part of the story until the end...
As I said for the anime, the atmosphere is really catchy, and believe me when I tell you that I could not wait to receive the other books when I only had the first.
For the graphics of the manga, personally I could not find any default, the drawing lines are very clear and delicate, the characters are all very pretty, especially Misaki...
